In Greensboro, Infant dies after found alone in parked car


A 3-month-old boy died after being found unresponsive and alone in a parked vehicle Thursday afternoon.

The child was found around 1 p.m. in the Fanta City International parking lot  Market at 4929 W. Market St. in Greensboro. The child was still secured in his car seat, Greensboro police said.

Bystanders performed CPR on the child until emergency officials arrived, police said. He was pronounced dead at Moses Cone Hospital.

An early investigation indicated foul play wasn't involved, police said. It's not known how long the child was in the vehicle.
