NC newlyweds dead in apparent murder-suicide

NC newlyweds dead in apparent murder-suicide: Authorities are investigating the death of a newlywed couple who lived outside Tabor City as an apparent murder-suicide.

Columbus County Sheriff's Capt. David Nobles says 45-year-old Robert Edward Hewett Jr. and 36-year-old Farrah Faith Prince were pronounced dead at their home Monday.

Nobles says investigators think Hewett stabbed his wife numerous times, then shot himself in the head. The couple was recently married and neighbors told police they heard a shotgun blast.

Nobles said that Mrs. Hewett's three sons went to the master bedroom door at the rear of the modular home but could not get inside or get any response.
