Customer shot in W-S barber shop robbery:
A customer was shot Saturday night during a robbery at a Winston-Salem barber shop.
The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. at the Carver Road Barber Shop in the 3300 block of Carver School Road.
Winston-Salem police said a customer at the store, Omar Powell, 34, of Winston-Salem, was shot after three gunmen forced him and and employee to the back of the business.
The suspects and took various items from the victims and fled.
Powell was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials said the gunmen were described as black men between the ages of 17-20, wearing hooded sweatshirts and skeleton masks.
